2022 was a great year for Gundam. We saw the arrival of the MGEX line’s very first kit, the MGEX Strike Freedom Gundam, the PG Unicorn Gundam Perfectibility, and many more. 2023 looks like it’s going to be just as incredible with exciting new Gundam model kit reveals.
I’ve split all of the kits up by grade, so you can find what you are looking for easier! I will update this post as new Gundam model kits are revealed for 2023 release, so stay tuned for updates. That all being said, here are all of the new Gundam kits that are releasing in 2023 so far.
SD Gundam Kits 2023

MGSD Freedom Gundam
Release date: January 2023
Price: 4290 yen
A MGSD kit of the Freedom Gundam from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED was confirmed at Hobby Next Phase Autumn 2022. It is the first to release in the new MGSD line, which features MG mechanics and an inner frame inside an SD kit.
As you can see from the photo, there’s also quite a bit more detail in comparison to a normal SD kit.
SDW Heroes Superior Strike Freedom Dragon

BB Senshi RX-93ff Nu Gundam

A BB Senshi kit of the RX-93ff Nu Gundam, which is based on the RX-93 Nu Gundam from Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack and has a statue on display at Mitsui Shopping Center LaLaport in Fukuoka, is releasing in March 2023.
The BB Senshi RX-93ff Nu Gundam is a Premium Bandai exclusive release.
SDCS Banshee (Destroy Mode)

The Unicorn Gudamn 02 Banshee joins the SD Gundam Cross Silhouette lineup and will be releasing in July of 2023.
The kit will feature parts and weapons to allow it to be displayed as the Banshee or Banshee Norn. The SDCS Banshee also features updated proportions
SD Gundam Cross Silhouette Tornado Gundam

The Tornado Gundam from the “SD Gundam G Generation” series joins the SD Gundam Cross Silhouette lineup and will be releasing in April of 2023.
The kit will come with the traditional SD frame along with a CS frame (pictured), which gives the kit different proportions and a less “deformed” look. It also comes with interchangeable hands, a Gatling gun, a beam rifle, two beam sabers, and a sticker sheet.
