A new Vans collection inspired by the hit anime Sailor Moon, which is adapted from the manga created by Naoko Takeuchi, is releasing soon with graphics that feature the Sailor Guardians and more. In addition to footwear, Vans are also dropping apparel and accessories that celebrate the Sailor Moon anime. It seems like more and more sneaker and streetwear companies are collaborating with anime and manga, including Vans as well as Nike with the Gundam SB Dunk High.
Vans are releasing an assorted range of women’s, men’s and kid’s styles in this collection. They are releasing a pair of Sk8-Hi Stacked shoes that are decorated with Sailor Moon’s transformation brooch and bow. These shoes also have a translucent heel and toe bumpers that are adorned with the Sailor Guardian planet symbols.
In addition, they are releasing a pair of Vans Authentic shoes highlighting the Sailor Guardians and Tuxedo Mask, a pair of Old Skool Patchwork shoes featuring various scenes and characters from the anime, a pair of Women’s La Costa Slide-On sandals featuring the Sailor Guardians, a pair of Old Skool shoes with a starry nighttime-inspired design, and a Sailor Guardians and Dark Kingdom-filled ComfyCush Slip-On.
Apparel-wise, they are releasing a women’s BFF Crew Fleece that is inspired by Sailor Moon’s sailor suit, a men’s navy blue short sleeve t-shirt with a graphic of Sailor Moon on it, and a blue tie-die sweatshirt featuring a graphic of Sailor Moon on its back with the Japanese logo down it’s sleeve.
They are also releasing a few Sailor Moon accessories in this collection, including a Luna Got This Mini Backpack that has adjustable shoulder straps and an exterior zip pocket, another backpack highlighting the characters of the series, a black Curved Bill Jockey hat featuring Sailor Moon in a star-shaped patch, and more. The hat also has embroidered details, which is nice.
In addition to all of their ready to buy footwear styles, you will be able to customize your own Sailor Moon Vans starting on June 10, 2022 via Vans Customs.
This is the first Sailor Moon collection to release from Vans, but a second capsule is on the way in the future. This next one is not only going to be a collaboration with Sailor Moon, but Vans team rider and Olympic skateboarder Lizzie Armanto as well. Something to definitely keep an eye out for in the future!
The Vans Sailor Moon collection is going up on Van’s website on June 10, 2022, but it will be available for purchase at Vans retailers as well. You can check out photos of all of the items in the Vans x Sailor Moon collection in the gallery below!
