2023 introduced us to several incredible new releases for Pokémon TCG, including Pokémon 151 and Obsidian Flames to name a few. While 2023 is going to be a tough year to follow, especially with Pokémon 151 being one of the best sets to release as of late, 2024 is already looking to be an exciting year full of releases.

Paldean Fates
Shiny Pokémon made their last appearance in the Pokémon TCG with the Shining Fates expansion from the Sword & Shield Series, where they were featured in the Shiny Vault without unique rarity. The upcoming Scarlet & Violet—Paldean Fates expansion reintroduces these variants with new rarity designations: Shiny rare and Shiny ultra rare.
This expansion offers a fresh look at Pokémon and Pokémon Trainers. Pawmi, for instance, appears as an adorably peaceful Shiny illustration rare, while Charizard is depicted with epic flames with a Shiny crystalline look. Clive makes his Pokémon TCG debut with a special illustration rare card that features various Trainers from Paldea, and Iono is shown enjoying a dessert in her latest special illustration rare, live-streamed with her Pokémon companions.
If you are looking to open up booster packs of Paldean Fates, you can do so via the Elite Trainer Box, either the Pokémon Center exclusive or standard release, the 6-pack booster bundle, mini tins and tins, or individual booster packs. Pokémon also released three ex Premium Collections for Paldean Fates featuring Skeledirge, Meowscarada, and Quaquaval.

Iono Premium Tournament Collection
A Premium Tournament Collection featuring Iono is releasing on April 5. It is full of Iono-themed items that are exclusive to this set, including a full-art foil Supporter card showcasing Iono, along with three additional foil Supporter cards featuring her as well.
It also comes with 65 card sleeves adorned with artwork of Iono, a deck box, a metallic coin, also featuring Iono, two coin condition markers, six tournament-ready damage dice, and six booster packs.
