Jump Festa 2024, which ran from December 16 to 17, truly lived up to its anticipation, perhaps even rivaling the buzz of its 2023 predecessor. At the event, fans were treated to a showcase of Shonen Jump’s upcoming projects, including updates on series like Chainsaw Man, Bleach, Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku, and much more.

The event took place on three stages this year: Super Stage Red, Super Stage Blue, and the Jump Studio Stage, each with its own events and presentations. I’ve detailed the announcements from these stages below to help you catch up on anything you might have missed. Additionally, I’ve organized all the key announcements and reveals from Jump Festa 2024, sorted by series. This way, you can easily find the updates you’re most excited about.

That said, here’s everything that was announced at Jump Festa 2024!

Haikyu!!

A new trailer for the ‘Haikyu!! FINAL’ anime film just dropped at Jump Festa 2024, and it’s everything we hoped for. In the trailer, they highlighted the film’s opening theme, which is performed SPYAIR. Production I.G., the studio behind all the Haikyu!! seasons so far, is returning to animate this film.

Titled ‘Battle at the Garbage Dump,’ it’s the first in a new series of films and it is gearing up for its release in Japan on February 16, 2024. If you can’t wait until then, you can catch up on Haikyu!! now on Crunchyroll!

Jujutsu Kaisen

The Jujutsu Kaisen panel at Jump Festa 2024 brought some notable highlights and a bit of a surprise for us. The panel took some time to acknowledge both the manga and the anime, celebrating the remarkable rise in the series’ popularity. Jujutsu Kaisen has reached a big milestone with over 90 million copies in circulation following the release of its 25th volume.

But perhaps the most stirring moment came from Gege Akutami, the creator of Jujutsu Kaisen. Akutami dropped a hint that left us all buzzing with speculation, stating, ‘This is probably, absolutely the last Jump Festa held while Jujutsu Kaisen is being serialized.’ This comment has led many to speculate that the end of the series might be closer than anticipated and that the series may very well be wrapping up soon.

Blue Exorcist

The latest season of Blue Exorcist, titled Blue Exorcist -Shimane Illuminati Saga-, was showcased at Jump Festa 2024 with a new trailer and visual. Set to air on January 6, 2024, as part of the Winter 2024 anime schedule, it looks like it’s going to be an exciting season. The trailer not only offered a sneak peek at new developments in the series but also debuted the opening theme, ‘Eye’s Sentry’ by UVERworld.

The Princes of Tennis II

The Prince of Tennis II: U-17 World Cup Semifinal is scheduled to air in October 2024. Alongside this announcement, a new visual for the series was revealed.

My Hero Academia Jump Festa 2024

My Hero Academia

My Hero Academia Season 7 was officially announced at Jump Festa 2024, and it is set to premiere on May 4, 2024. In the new trailer, we got a sneak peek at Romi Park’s role as Stars and Stripes. Leading up to Season 7, My Hero Academia Memories will be released on April 6, 13, 20, and 27. These four special episodes will recap the series, taking a deep dive into the events leading up to Season 7.

A new My Hero Academia film was also announced and it is scheduled for release in Japan in Summer 2024. Along with this announcement, a new visual was shared, and it was confirmed that studio BONES, who worked on all previous seasons and movies of My Hero Academia, will be returning to animate this fourth film.

Blue Box

The first trailer for the upcoming Blue Box anime was showcased at Jump Festa 2024.

If you are new to the series, Blue Box tells the story of Taiki Inomata, a passionate badminton player, dreams of reaching nationals but knows he has a challenging journey ahead. His world takes an unexpected turn when he witnesses Chinatsu Kano, an upperclassman, pouring her heart and soul into basketball practice. Taiki is instantly smitten by her dedication and spirit.

As fate would have it, an unforeseen event brings Taiki and Chinatsu closer, leading them to discover there’s more to life than just sports. As their relationship develops, they find themselves navigating the complexities of young love and ambition, where their hearts might just be their guiding force.

Demon Slayer

During the Demon Slayer panel, they announced an upcoming event celebrating the series’ 5th anniversary, titled Kimetsu-sai ~Anime 5th Anniversary~ i, which is taking place on March 9-10th in Japan.

Dandadan

Dandadan was already revealed to be a 2024 release, and its one of our most anticipated of the year, but an official release time frame of October 2024 was confirmed at Jump Festa 2024. They also released a new trailer and a couple members of the cast, including Shion Wakayama (Takina Inoue), who is voicing Momo Ayase, Natsuki Hanae (Tanjiro), who is voicing Ken Takakura, Mayumi Tanaka (Luffy), who is voicing Turbo-Granny, and Kazuya Nakai (Zoro), who is voicing Serpoian.

If you are new to the series, the story of Dandadan follows Momo Ayase, who comes across a boy named Ken Takakura that’s being bullied. Because of her kind heart and her knack for jumping into situations without thinking, she ends up confronting the bullies and saving Ken. In return, he takes this opportunity to try and make a friend and attempts to connect with her by talking about one of his favorite topics: The occult. Ayase rejects his claims but says that she does believe in ghosts. Ken believes in aliens, but he doesn’t believe in ghosts.

Ayase and Ken set up a challenge to determine who is correct; Ayase will go to a fabled local alien hot spot, and Ken will go to a fabled local ghost hot spot. Both arrive at their destinations, and it turns out that both of them were right. Because of their discoveries, their lives are turned upside down. Now, they have to navigate the supernatural and sci-fi worlds they have stumbled into, all the while working to return their lives back to normal.

Mashle

The upcoming season of Mashle is confirmed and it is titled The Divine Visionary Candidate Exam Arc. On top of releasing a new trailer, a release date of January 6, 2024 was revealed. Two new characters, Margarette Macaron, who is voiced by Takehito Koyasu (Dio Brando) and Carpaccio Luo-Yang, who is voiced by Koki Uchiyama (Toge Inumaki), are making their debut this season.

Undead Unluck

A new trailer for Undead Unluck second part was released at Jump Festa 2024. In the trailer, the new theme songs, “Love Call” by Shiyui and “Kono Ai ni Kanau Mon wa Nai” by OKAMOTO’ were showcased.

The Elusive Samurai

A new key visual for the upcoming anime The Elusive Samurai was revealed at Jump Festa 2024. The series is expected to release sometime in 2024.

The Elusive Samurai follows Tokiyuki, who in the aftermath of his family’s massacre, flees with a few loyal retainers, including the eccentric Suwa Yorishige, an ally of the Hojo clan and lord of Suwa Province. Yorishige, claiming clairvoyance, prophesies Tokiyuki’s future rule over Japan. However, their immediate concern is the perilous escape from enemy territory, a journey fraught with danger and the promise of a destiny greater than any of them could have imagined.

Mission: Yozakura Family

A new trailer for Mission: Yozakura Family debuted at Jump Festa 2024 along with the announcement of an April 2024 release date. New details about the upcoming anime were also revealed, including the announcement that Mirai Minato (BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense) will be directing the series that’s being animated by SILVER LINK (Non Non Biyori Nonstop).

Mission: Yozakura Family is about Taiyo Asano, a super-shy high schooler, finds solace in his childhood friend Mutsumi Yozakura, the only person he can comfortably talk to. However, Mutsumi is no ordinary friend; she hails from a family of master spies with extraordinary abilities. This unusual background brings unexpected complications to Taiyo’s life, especially in the form of Mutsumi’s oldest brother, Kyoichiro.

Obsessively protective of Mutsumi, Kyoichiro is determined to eliminate anyone who dares get close to her, and Taiyo is his latest target. Faced with this deadly threat, Taiyo’s only chance to survive is through an unthinkable solution: marrying Mutsumi.

Kaiju No. 8

A new trailer was released for Kaiju No. 8 at Jump Festa 2024. In addition to a third trailer, they announced some new cast members, including Fairouz Ai (Power), who is voicing the Kaiju-killing prodigy Kikoru Shinomiya and Kengo Kawanishi (Muichiro Tokito), who is voicing Soshiro Hoshina, the Vice-Captain of the Third Division.

Rurouni Kenshin

Rurouni Kenshin’s second season, the Rurouni Kenshin Kyoto Riot Arc, is confirmed. It is scheduled to release in 2024. A trailer was also released for the second season at Jump Festa 2024.

Spy x Family

Because Spy x Family Season 2 is coming to an end soon, they released a special trailer at Jump Festa 2024 highlighting the events that have happened in the anime so far. You can watch the first and second seasons now on Crunchyroll.

Chainsaw Man Jump Festa 2024

Chainsaw Man

One of the most anticipated panels at the event had to be Chainsaw Man’s, and it didn’t disappoint, with an announcement of a new film that adapts the Reze arc in the manga. The movie is being released under the title, Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc.

As of now, this is all we know about the upcoming film since details, such as release date and cast, have yet to be revealed. They did reveal a visual, though, and the news of an upcoming film was enough to make Chainsaw Man‘s panel one of the biggest highlights of Jump Festa 2024.

One Piece

One of the most unexpected and exciting announcements of Jump Festa 2024 was the reveal of an upcoming One Piece remake that’s being made in celebration of 25 years. The upcoming remake is going to be animated by Wit Studio (Attack on Titan, Vinland Saga, Spy x Family) under the title, THE ONE PIECE, and they are kicking things off with the East Blue arc.

Gintama

During the Gintama panel, the spotlight was shone on the spin-off titled 3rd Year Class Z Ginpachi-sensei. This reveal is a key part of the ongoing 20th Anniversary celebration for Gintama. You can look forward to a series of new projects related to the franchise, which are set to continue rolling out until 2026.

Bleach

A trailer was revealed for Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3 at Jump Festa 2024. The third part is titled The Conflict and it is airing in 2024. You can check out the trailer for Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3 now below.

Dr. Stone

Hell’s Paradise

One of the most exciting announcements of Jump Festa 2024, was the announcement of Hell’s Paradise Season 2. A new teaser visual for the upcoming season was released.

If you are new to Hell’s Paradise, the story follows Gabimaru, once feared as the most formidable assassin of his village, who now faces a grim fate on death row. His only chance at redemption and freedom lies in a perilous mission: to retrieve the fabled Elixir of Life from a treacherous island shrouded in mystery. Driven by a deep desire for freedom, Gabimaru embarks on this daunting quest. However, he’s not alone in this race for the Elixir; other convicts, equally desperate and dangerous, are also on the hunt. To make matters worse, the island is crawling with demonic beasts that lurk in the shadows. Gabimaru must navigate this deadly labyrinth, outsmarting both human and supernatural foes.

In addition to all of the above announcements, a trailer featuring Akari Kito’s opening theme for Chained Soldier, a commercial for Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable!, a new trailer for Captain Tsubasa: Junior Youth Arc Part 2, a new trailer for ‘Tis Time for “Torture,” Princess, and a “full-scale fighting game” for Hunter x Hunter by Bushiroad Games were revealed at Jump Festa 2024.
