At MCM London ComicCon this May, Yen Press revealed three upcoming manga licenses for Fall 2025. The biggest news? Fruits Basket is getting a full series box set release. If you’ve been waiting for a way to own the entire story in one go, this might be the version worth picking up.
Alongside it, Yen Press also announced a supernatural prequel tied to an existing series and a new ecchi rom-com that plays with online identity.
Fruits Basket: The Complete Box Set
By Natsuki Takaya
Releasing November 2025
Yen Press announced a complete Fruits Basket box set that collects the entire manga from start to finish. They are including new cover designs and a set of lenticular cards, which is a nice added bonus to this set.
If you are new to Fruits Basket, The story follows Tohru Honda, a high schooler who ends up living in a tent after losing her mother. She unknowingly sets up camp on land owned by the Sohma family—who, instead of kicking her out, invite her to stay with them. What she doesn’t expect? The Sohmas are cursed: when hugged by someone of the opposite sex, they transform into animals of the Chinese Zodiac.
Yen Press previously released Fruits Basket Collector’s Editions in 12 larger volumes, which were a great way to revisit the series after the original Tokyopop editions went out of print. This new box set, though, seems designed for collectors who want the full series in one purchase—with refreshed cover art and a compact, shelf-friendly format.
It’s not confirmed yet how the volumes will be split inside—whether they’ll follow the Collector’s Edition format or use a smaller trim—but it’s one to keep an eye on when it drops in November 2025.
The Terrifying Students at Ghoul School!
By Mai Tanaka
If you’ve read A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School!, this is a prequel that focuses on two familiar faces: tanuki Mamekichi and nekomata Tamao. It takes place at Hyakki Academy and gives more background on some of the school’s troublemakers. Fans of the main series will appreciate the extra context and character development in this upcoming series.
The Girl Past the Filters
By Suzu Omi
A standalone high school ecchi rom-com with a bit of a twist. Narumi is a quiet student who lives for checking out risqué posts from an online personality called “Efa.” What he doesn’t expect? Efa is actually his super-responsible, popular classmate Mitsuha.
It’s a play on social media personas, filtered reality vs. real life, and awkward teenage misunderstandings—all of which could land well if you’re into rom-coms with a bit of edge.
This is a smaller wave of announcements from Yen Press, but the Fruits Basket box set is a big addition to the 2025 manga lineup. You can shop Yen Press’ manga at one of the trusted manga retailers below!
