With the 2025 anime lineup already packed with titles like Gachiakuta and Solo Leveling Season 2, the Fall season is continuing the trend with even more series worth watching. From sequels like One Punch Man Season 3 to new adaptations across fantasy, romance, psychological thrillers, and more, there’s plenty to add to your watchlist.
This list only covers anime that have been officially confirmed for Fall 2025—not rumored—so everything here is expected to release this season unless unexpected delays pop up. If that happens, we’ll update this post to keep it accurate. As more announcements come in, we’ll also add them here, so be sure to bookmark this page and check back.
You’ll also find details on where to stream each series when that information is available, including direct links to platforms offering free trials so you can try them out before committing. While most anime stream on Crunchyroll, HIDIVE, Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+ all have exclusive picks worth watching.
That said, here’s a look at all the new and returning anime coming this Fall.

Most Anticipated New Anime of Fall 2025

Wandance
Studio: Madhouse, Cyclone Graphics
Genre: Sports
Why it stands out:
Madhouse almost never lets us down. With anime like Frieren, Hunter x Hunter, Death Note, and Nana, they’ve proven they know how to handle stories that hit hard and look striking on screen. Wandance is in safe hands, with Cyclone Graphics also working on the animation under Madhouse’s lead.
Originally created by Coffee, this seinen sports manga is already a standout on the page. It follows Kaboku Kotani, a high school kid who’s always tried to stay invisible, tough enough with his stutter. But when he sees another first-year, Hikari Wanda, dancing like she doesn’t care who’s watching, it sparks something in him. Could he ever feel that free? To find out, he does something terrifying and joins the dance club.
Even better, RIEHATA, known for her K-pop choreography, is handling the dance production, so the moves should actually look sharp and real. With Madhouse steering the project, a solid voice cast, and legit choreo, Wandance is set up to be one of the more honest, heartfelt sports anime we’ve seen in a while. We can’t wait to see how they bring Kaboku’s steps to life.

May I Ask for One Final Thing?
Studio: LIDENFILMS
Genre: Fantasy, Drama, Romance, Action
Why it stands out:
Produced by Aniplex with animation by LIDENFILMS, who impressed us with their stylish work on Call of the Night and Tokyo Revengers, this one’s already got our attention.
Based on the well-received light novel by Sora Hoonoki and Nana Otori, the story kicks off at a ball where Scarlet is blindsided by the second prince, Kyle, suddenly annulling their engagement. As if that wasn’t enough, she’s immediately hit with false accusations and branded a “villainess” by the rest of the nobility. Scarlet’s had to deal with the prince’s idiocy for years, but now she’s finally done—and asks for one last favor: “May I send you and the rest of these pigs flying?”
Revenge stories are always fun to watch unfold, and this looks packed with action, intrigue, and even a bit of romance. If you’re into those genres, it’s definitely worth keeping an eye on.

This Monster Wants to Eat Me
Studio: Studio Lings
Genre: Drama, Girls’ Love, Supernatural
Why it stands out:
Based on the manga by Sai Naekawa, This Monster Wants to Eat Me follows Hinako, a high school student with a dark past who lives alone in a town by the sea. Haunted by a constant sensation of drowning, she can barely go through the motions of her tedious life… until the day a monster actually tries to eat her. After passing out in the struggle, she wakes up to find she’s been saved by a beautiful mermaid. But salvation comes with a catch: the mermaid’s protection only lasts until Hinako has matured into the perfect meal.
Hinako’s first instinct isn’t to run or scream, though, and an unlikely relationship between monster and prey slowly unfolds.
Series where a monster wants to eat the protagonist have become a bit of a thing lately—August 9 I Will Be Eaten by You comes to mind (and hopefully gets an adaptation). But This Monster Wants to Eat Me stands out as one of the best. It’s got great characters, strong storytelling, and emotional arcs with a tragic core that makes it impossible not to watch.
Studio Lings (Oomuro-ke: Dear Sisters) is adapting the series with a top-notch voice cast, including Fairouz Ai (Power), Reina Ueda (Kanao Tsuyuri), and Yui Ishikawa (Mikasa Ackerman), which only adds to the anticipation.

My Friend’s Little Sister Has It In for Me!
Studio: Blade
Genre: Comedy, Romance
Why it stands out:
Based on the light novel of the same name, My Friend’s Little Sister Has It In for Me! leans all the way into the classic “if she teases you, she must like you” trope, except for Akiteru, that’s never been true. Every girl he interacts with seems to hate him, and he’s never managed to land a single date. Not that he’s too worried about it; he’s more focused on trying to secure a future for himself and his game-development buddies at his uncle’s company.
But when his uncle throws out a condition that forces him to play the part of his daughter’s boyfriend, Akiteru doesn’t have much choice but to go along with it. Naturally, this sets off his best friend’s sister, Iroha, who already loves bullying him relentlessly.
It’s a comedy romance set in school, packed with good character dynamics, heartwarming moments, and funny antics that lend themselves perfectly to an adaptation. Animated by Blade (I Have a Crush at Work), this is one where the source material itself is strong enough to make it well worth checking out.

Pass the Monster Meat, Milady!
Studio: TBA
Genre: Fantasy, Romance
Pass the Monster Meat, Milady! is adapted from the fantasy romance manga about a voracious lady who delights in monster meat and a mad-blooded duke who’s swept off his feet by her unusual charms. If you enjoyed series like Delicious in Dungeon or Drifting Dragons, this is right up that same alley, just with more romance and less action/dungeon crawling.
Like any proper noble lady, Melphiera Marchalrayd has her refined tastes — they just happen to include monster meat. Despite its bad reputation, she’s determined to prove it can be turned into exquisite cuisine and maybe change a few minds across the kingdom. Unfortunately, since debuting in society, she’s struggled to find her perfect match… until she meets the fearless “Blood-Mad Duke” of Galbraith.
This is one of the cozier series coming in 2025, leaning more into the relaxing fantasy and cooking side, paired with a touch of romantasy. If that’s your thing, it’s worth the watch.

Gnosia
Studio: domerica
Genre: Sci-Fi, Psychological, Thriller
Why it stands out:
Gnosia is based on one of the best visual novels and tells the story of a crew on a drifting spaceship facing off against a mysterious threat known as the Gnosia. The Gnosia lie, pretend to be human, get close, deceive, and then eliminate one victim at a time. The crew has no idea who among them is really the enemy, so they come up with a desperate plan: put the most suspicious people into “cold sleep” one by one, hoping to root out the impostors before it’s too late.
It’s highly interactive and constantly keeps you on edge in the light novel, so we’re curious to see how that tension translates to anime. Studio domerica, who you might already know from Romantic Killer, is handling the animation for this one.
Visual novels and light novels often adapt really well to anime, so this is definitely one to keep on your radar.

My Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero’s
Studio: Sunrise
Genre: Action, Adventure, Fantasy, Isekai
Why it stands out:
Set in a world where demons run amok in the beastfolk port town of Ur, Amelia scrambles to evacuate the residents, only to be abducted by the demon Aurum. Meanwhile, Akira has burned through nearly all of his shadow magic defending the city. To save her, he has to rely on his sword, Yato-no-Kami, newly restored by the talented blacksmith Crow. With Night at his side, he heads for the deepest level of the labyrinth. Along the way, they run into the first princess of Uruk, the largest beastfolk country, who’s also searching for Amelia. They team up to take down their fearsome foe.
This is bound to be an action-packed and exciting isekai. Isekai, no matter how good they are, are usually endlessly entertaining and easy to binge episode after episode—and while adaptations can be hit or miss, we’ve got high hopes for this one thanks to the source material and Sunrise handling the animation. With the voice actors of Jinshi from The Apothecary Diaries and Ryou Yamada from Bocchi the Rock! already confirmed, it should be beautifully acted as well.
