December has a tough act to follow with November 2020’s lineup of anime statues, which included releases like T.N.T Studios’ Gyomei Himejima statue and Jimei Palace’s Kaido statue. But the month is off to a strong start with more awesome statues being announced and more to be revealed throughout the month.

Before we get into the post, I want to make it known that this list includes both licensed and unlicensed pieces. I’ve separated the two into different categories, so you can find what you are looking for easier. As always, I don’t condone what unlicensed studios are doing and it’s always best to support the industry by buying licensed statues, but I am still amazed by the work that some of these studios put out nonetheless.

With that said, here are all of my favorite anime statues that have gone up for preorder so far in December 2020!

Licensed Statues

Here are my favorite licensed anime statues that have gone up for preorder in December 2020 so far.

Jimei Palace Bartholomew Kuma 1/6 Scale Statue Main

Jimei Palace Bartholomew Kuma 1/6 Scale Statue

Jimei Palace produce some of the best anime statues, but their One Piece statues in particular are some of their best. Last month, they put their massive Kaido statue up for preorder, and this month they are continuing to impress with a new statue of Bartholomew Kuma. The statue comes in 1/6 scale and its dimensions are approximately H60cm (23.62in) x W46cm (18.11in) x D38cm (14.96in).

The texturing and painting of this statue look amazing. It has a busy base, which features easter eggs including his serial number PX-0 front and center, but it somehow still doesn’t come across as overdone. I also really like that the paw pads on his hands are raised and defined. Around him, are paw-shaped bubbles, which were painted to look iridescent and they look amazing with the light bouncing off of them in the images. This statue really makes a statement and it has a lot of intricate details that make it stand out as one of this month’s best anime statues.

TriEagles Studio One Punch Man Saitama & Genos 1/6 Scale Statue

TriEagles Studio One Punch Man Saitama & Genos 1/6 Scale Statue

TriEagles Studio initially announced and showcased their 1/6 scale One Punch Man statue of Saitama and Genos at Wonder Festival 2020, but at the time only a prototype was completed. This month, it went up for preorder with official photos released and it looks absolutely incredible. TriEagles Studio was supervised by One Punch Man‘s author on this one and it’s nice to know that he had input throughout the process.

The two are featured in dynamic action poses. I really like that the imagery of this statue shows Saitama and Genos together and they both look incredibly powerful with the effect parts that are added. In addition, I really like the base, which has this scorched, broken up ground that looks even more amazing with the LED’s included. It’s one of my favorite One Punch Man statues to have been announced so far and it gets added to the list with Tsume’s pieces they’ve created from the series.

Unlicensed Statues

Here are my favorite unlicensed anime statues that have gone up for preorder in December 2020 so far.

Clouds Studio Hiruzen Sarutobi 1/7 Scale Statue Main

Clouds Studio Hiruzen Sarutobi 1/7 Scale Statue

Clouds Studio are one of my favorite studios when it comes to Naruto and Naruto Shippuden statues. Last month, they put their Pain statue up for preorder, and this month they revealed their 1/7 scale statue of the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi. In addition to the statue, you can purchase an alternate head sculpt that shows him in his Edo Tensei form.

The statue shows Hiruzen Sarutobi in battle with his personal summon Monkey King: Enma, who’s displayed in a fearsome pose on the tree and the Adamantine Staff behind him. The base also features easter eggs such as Orochimaru’s Kusanagi Sword, which he used during his memorable battle with Hiruzen. It’s an interpretation that really highlights Sarutobi and his abilities, and appearance-wise this is one of the best I’ve seen of him so far.

Dream Studio Konan 1/5 Scale Statue Main

Dream Studio Konan 1/5 Scale Statue

Dream Studio’s Konan statue comes in 1/5 scale and has an estimated arrival date of Q2 2021. One feature to note is the base, which includes an LED.

In terms of likeness, this is one of the best statues I’ve seen of Konan so far. This alone is enough to interest me in this statue, but what I like about this statue the most, is the dynamic way in which her paper wings are displayed. In addition, it shows her in a powerful pose but I appreciate the fact that they still managed to capture her angelic yet composed look. The only thing I wish is that this statue came in a smaller scale, but this is a personal preference. Regardless, from what I’ve seen in the images so far, I have no complaints and it’s definitely one of the best to go up for preorder this December.

Up Studios Spirited Away Chihiro Ogino & Haku (Dragon Form) 1/6 Scale Statue 3

Up Studios Spirited Away Chihiro Ogino & Haku (Dragon Form) 1/6 Scale Statue

I have yet to personally purchase anything from Up Studios, but their Spirited Away 1/6 scale statue of Chihiro Ogino and Haku in his dragon form is going to be my first. The composition of this one is beautiful and the way all of the pieces of this statue flow, especially with the water and the two suspended in the center, are the main reasons as to why I love it so much. But even more so than that, it’s the imagery and the emotion displayed in this statue that captivate me the most.

The concept overall is really nice too with architecture of the Bathhouse added and easter eggs included. The clear resin that’s painted in various blues to look like water looks incredible as well as the bubbles within it that make it look as if its flowing. With the LED, it looks even better. Overall though, its the connection that is shown between Chihiro and Haku that really warms my heart. The one thing I will say is that Chihiro’s face sculpt isn’t 100% accurate, but this statue made me feel something when I looked at it, and for this reason alone, it’s one of my favorites to go up for preorder this month.
